Students aged over 19 on 31st August 2026, studying on a government funded course with a household income below £40,000 per year, living in a non-devolved area, may be eligible for the DfE Adult Skills Discretionary Support Fund.

We have a duty of care to ensure bursary support is distributed fairly to ALL eligible students and limits to the total amount awarded are in place to enable us to do this.

If you live in another devolved area then you will be unable to apply for financial support at Grantham College.
Students aged 20 or over, support with childcare costs may be available through the Adult Skills discretionary bursary (Non-Devolved and GLCCA) subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.
This support can contribute towards childcare costs for timetabled sessions with an Ofsted-registered provider, subject to a capped amount.

Students in receipt of Advanced Learner Loan, support with childcare costs may be available through the Advanced Learner Loan Bursary, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.

If you are enrolled on an eligible LIoT Level 4 or Level 5 course and reside in an eligible postcode area, the LIoT bursary may be available to you.
This financial support is only available to students living in Lincolnshire excluding the City of Lincoln and the eligibility criteria is set by LIoT and Quickline and not Grantham College.
Applications for bursary support must be submitted through the PayMyStudent portal, unless you are applying for the LIoT bursary. Applications for the LIoT bursary are made using a paper application form, which you will need to complete and submit separately.
