QAA Approved Courses

In February 2016, Grantham College was awarded the prestigious QAA quality mark for University level courses.  QAA is similar to Ofsted in that they review the quality of teaching, learning and outcomes for students across four key areas, all of which met the standard at Grantham.

  • The maintenance of the academic standards of awards offered on behalf of degree-awarding bodies and/or other awarding organisations;

  • The quality of student learning opportunities;

  • The quality of the information about learning opportunities;

  • The enhancement of student learning opportunities;

  • Having QAA approval means that the courses being offered at Grantham College are of the same standard as those being delivered in larger Universities.

National Student Survey (NSS)

We are so good at delivering University level courses that we achieved 95% student satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2016.  This fantastic result places Grantham College 13 percentage points above the national benchmark, in the top 9 colleges in the UK and demonstrates that we have the most satisfied University level students in Lincolnshire (when compared to other FE colleges).

Stay Local

There are lots of benefits to studying locally:

Personal Tutors and Support

All students who enrol onto a course are allocated a personal tutor. They will monitor and support you with your academic progress and provide help when necessary. There are also a wide range of support services available to you whilst studying at Grantham College. These include learning support tailored to your needs, careers advice and guidance, counselling, mental health support and study skills.  If you have a disability or learning difficulty we can help you apply for DSA.

Small Class Sizes

Our small class sizes of between 12 and 15 students mean that you will always get lots of contact time with staff; this also offers a more personal approach to learning in an environment where you matter.

Industry Experienced Staff

All of our staff are experts within their fields, having many years of recent and relevant experience in their area, that means they know what you will need in order to follow a career in your chosen path.
