Grantham College Media student gains work experience on set of the ITV production of Victoria.

Lewis Potter had the opportunity to work with the sound department at Harlaxton Manor for the set of ITV’s Victoria; a periodic drama showcasing the reign of Queen Victoria. He was able to work with professionals by assisting them with the sound equipment during cast rehearsals to the recorded takes.

“This was a once in a life time experience. I was able to learn so much by working with professionals who have many years of experience in the industry and had an amazing opportunity to work with different equipment that I hadn’t used before,” said Lewis.

Lewis came to Grantham College from St Hugh’s to study ICT but then switched to the BTEC Level 3 Media course due to his passion for film and TV. He is currently in his second year and will be progressing onto to HNC course in Media at Grantham College.

“I have really enjoyed studying Media at Grantham College as the course is very interesting and there is always something to do. The learning environment is great and the tutors are very supportive as they are always available to offer the help needed,” said Lewis.
