Safeguarding Policy

Grantham College has a Safeguarding Policy to ensure that all young people and children attending activities in the College do so in a safe and secure environment. It sets out the steps we take to protect children and young people and the procedures we would use to deal with any issues. A copy of the Safeguarding Policy is available from Linda Wale, Director of Learner Support, on 01476 404376 who will provide any further information you may require.

Safeguarding

Grantham College has a statutory and moral duty to ensure that the College functions with a view to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults receiving education and training at the College.

The governing body is committed to ensuring that the College provides a safe environment for students to learn in, identifies children and vulnerable adults who are suffering, or likely to suffer, significant harm, and takes appropriate action to see that such children and vulnerable adults are kept safe, both at home and at the College.

Disability Statement

The College is committed to providing education and training for all sections of the community. A full copy of the College Disability Statement is available upon request from the Information, Advice, Guidance & Enrolment team.

Equal Opportunities and Diversity

The College is committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and students irrespective of gender, race, ability, age, religion, sexual orientation, marital status, ethnicity or colour. If you have learning difficulties, a variety of facilities are provided so you can take part in the full range of College courses.

In July 2010 the College achieved the Investors in Diversity Award. The Investors in Diversity Award recognises the Colleges commitment to effectively manage and embed equality, diversity and inclusion.
